Occasional maintenance With normal use, there should be no natural wear and tear to the finished surface. Treat the floor on a regular basis and do not wait until the finished surface is completely worn. Use Chapel Maintenance Oil to look after your floor. This means once or twice a year for surfaces that receive heavy-duty use such living rooms, hallways, kitchens and the like. One or twice a year for bedrooms is sufficient.
